Chabad Stream Academy Stream Tamim School, a progressive Jewish day school inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori education approaches, is seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative Art Teacher to join our team. We value the whole child, project-based learning, and the unique spark that both students and teachers bring to the classroom each day. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all grades, integrating current units of study into art explorations, using recycled and raw materials creatively, and incorporating the Reggio style atelier into the art room environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, resourceful, and a great communicator.

Responsibilities:

Plan, develop, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate art lessons for students from pre-K to 8th grade
Integrate current units of study and curriculum themes into art explorations and projects
Promote project-based learning and encourage students to explore their creativity and unique talents through artistic expression
Utilize recycled and raw materials in innovative ways, emphasizing sustainability and environmental awareness
Incorporate the Reggio style atelier into the art room environment, creating a dynamic, collaborative, and inviting space for students to engage with art materials and techniques
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create cross-curricular connections and support school-wide initiatives
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting lessons as needed to support individual learning needs
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to foster a positive and supportive learning environment
Stay current with best practices in Reggio and Montessori-inspired art education, participating in professional development opportunities as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe art room, managing supplies and inventory effectively

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching art in a Reggio or Montessori-inspired setting
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with project-based learning
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual learning needs
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment
